Case Studies
I love a good case study. When you follow the problem --> solution --> results format, it's hard to argue that you're not making a difference in real clients' lives. The other helpful element of that format is that you can easily include rich storytelling with hard data, which allows you to appeal to both emotional and analytical buyers. As you build a library, these assets are easy for sales to use (as long as they are well categorized) because they show use cases, business size, location, focus and other specifics that can be used to secure more sales. And finally, they are often able to be repurposed in multiple formats (social, video, print, white paper, etc.).
As the marketing manager for conversion content, I overhauled Luxury Presence’s approach to this vital content type. The company hadn’t produced a new one in nearly a year, and I got the content pipeline unblocked by instituting a rigorous, automated project management system and personalized outreach to successful customers and stakeholders. Not only were these hugely successful in terms of social media engagement, but they proved to be a useful tool for the sales and content success teams in terms of new client acquisition, MQLs, and upgrades.
